A few updates for the month. I’ve had the joy of being a guest writer at The Gospel Coalition, a guest on the Front Porch with the Fitzes podcast, and posting a few of my favorite song collaborations with David Ward. More information below.
Guest Writing at The Gospel Coalition
Earlier this month, The Gospel Coalition invited me to turn my list of into Women in the Storyline of Redemptive History an article for their website. You can read it here—21 Places Women Emerge Front and Center in Scripture’s Storyline. It’s received a lot of positive response and I’m grateful to TGC for the invitation.
Guest Appearance on Front Porch with the Fitzes
I’m a guest on this week’s episode of Front Porch with the Fitzes (download or listen here) talking about stuffing spider monkeys down your pants, my love of Johnny Cash, my recently departed dog, that crazy Florida Man, and my TGC article. Oh, and I improvised the theme song for Shannon’s Corner. (Give them three listens before you give up.)
Two Songs Posted
In case you missed it, I’ve added two songs to the website. These are two of my favorite collaborations with my friend, David Ward, at Thousand Tongues.
The first is “Not in Me,” a song imagining what it would sound like for the Pharisee in Luke 18:9-14 to repent.
This song was featured on The Gospel Coalition’s album, “Songs for the Book of Luke.”
The second song is There Is No Sin That I Have Done, a song from the perspective of a “sinner and tax collector” repenting.
The post includes the official music video.
